Default JJ this felt awkward

Villain in this hand is a LAGdonk, although he seems to be playing much better then usual today. He has been 3 betting me relentlessly preflop and I've mostly been folding. He doesn't give up easy postflop, which makes him pretty tough to play against if you're not making hands, but pretty easy to stack if you're running good. With that being said he's not ridiculous, and does seem to think a little.

$5/$10 6 handed

UTG limps, I raise to $45 with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Villain calls on the button, one caller from blinds, UTG calls.

Flop: T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img],8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img],6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($180)

check, check, I bet $160, Villain calls, others fold.

Turn: 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($400)
I check(?), Villain bets $200, I call(?)

River: 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($800)
I lead $350, villain shoves for $1K, I fold.

I made this bet under the assumption that villain was incapable of bluff raising. Perhaps this was an erroneus assumption. In my experience though most people play fairly conservative on 5 straight boards. I was afraid he'd just check behind and go for the cheap showdown with all his made hands that just got counterfeited, but would probably make a crying call for the split as long as I didn't bet too much.

I should also probably clarify my read somewhat. While he is a bad LAG, he's not a complete psychopath. While you could make an argument that my 40% pot bet will be interpreted as weakness, I think donk's tend to interpret bets based on their absolute size as opposed to their size relative to the pot.

Does the villian view you as a nit? I ask because the board is very scary, and if he sees you as I player who makes big laydowns I can think of another reason a LAGdonk who "you've been folding alot" to might make a bet that admittedly looks like trouble.
