NL10 JJ flops an overpair, gets lots of action
UTG is loose preflop and will cold-call liberally once he's in. He's also somewhat loose on the flop; two hands ago I played a hand against him where he cold-called a 6BB raise preflop, called a psb on an A-high flop, and c/f a turn blank. He was 67/13 over a measly 13 hands.
MP3 is 29/6 over 45 hands. My notes on him from an earlier hand say that he'll call small bets loosely on the flop; in an earlier hand he called a 1/3 pot bet with 76o on a Q7x monotone board multiway with a 6-high one-card flush draw. Given reads on villains, is this standard? I'm not too worried about UTG on the flop since he's short and I feel comfortable committing with my overpair. Should MP3's continued calling on the flop worry me? And given the relatively innocuous turn card and my flop play, is pushing AI into a dry side pot pretty much standard? Given the size of the pot I figure I have to call any river push, and I'd rather not give any overcards a free look. |

I make it .70 preflop but other than that well-played.

Re: NL10 JJ flops an overpair, gets lots of action
Yah I would have played it the same way
Your def h committed on the turn so pushing it is best. The flop raise was perfect cant see anything wrong with the way you played it. Some people might play it differently who knows but I honestly think this is the best NH |
