[censored], glad you're ok Chaos.

And there's no way "feeling bad about what he did" is sufficient punishment.

Then wtf is prison all about?

Man I don't even know what you're suggesting lobster.

Drunk drivers shouldn't be punished because their guilt should punish them enough?

How many crimes can we just ignore because the offender will feel bad enough about it to never do it again? Surely not just drink driving...

OK, as for good haloween costumes, it is my dream to be this guy at least one year in my life. Crazy props if you can identify this image.

If you don't get in trouble for crashing into people and almost killing/killing people because you're 100% wasted, then that sets a very bad policy. Jail isn't about rehabilitation anymore - that's total BS. It's about punishment.

In some cases isolating a danger to a society until that person is judged to be less dangerous. Often as a threat of repercussion, to prevent crimes. I hear what you're saying, and I agree that for most people the worst punishment would be his own conscience (sp?), but that doesn't mean we should stop sending criminals to jail. I don't see any reason in starting a discussion about crime and punishment now, tbh.

So last night I was in a high speed (around 55 mph), head-on collision. My friend was driving me home from our buddy's house, and a drunk driver with his headlights off was going the wrong way down the road. Somehow everyone was basically OK ; My friend may have broken his foot, I haven't talked to him today yet.

My chest is a little sore from the seatbelt, and I've got a few scrapes and bruises.

I run good in car crashes?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, I would say you run goot...thank god nobody was seriously hurt
