NL10 - AQs preflop
OK I know preflop should be one of the easier streets to play but I got a bit confused here. CO doesn't play a ton of hands by NL10 standards, but raises light fairly often. BB is new to the table.
Readless, a 4-bet from the BB is pretty strong but is a call if CO folds. He doesn't. Now what? CO has another $2.90 left behind and I hadn't envisioned playing AQs for stacks (albeit half stacks) preflop multiway. Push? Fold? Next important question: the first part had no reads because BB was new. Does the answer change if I know BB is a maniac and will reraise very light also? Having CO in this hand, especially this kind of CO, is making things confusing for me. PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (6 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) SB ($4.95) BB ($3.80) UTG ($10.10) MP ($10.65) CO ($6.70) Hero ($18.65) Preflop: Hero is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">CO raises to $0.5</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $1.75</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB raises to $3.8</font>, CO calls $3.30, Hero ???. |

Re: NL10 - AQs preflop
Push, getting $10.50:$5 if CO calls, even better if he folds. You should easily have 32% equity here.
Edit: Actually, not quite as good as I thought. If you stove it and give them both reasonable ranges (IMO) you're just short of 30% equity equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 28.474% 24.42% 04.06% 6273574392 1042240512.00 { AQs } Hand 1: 35.763% 32.71% 03.05% 8405439984 783359052.00 { 77+, AJs+, AJo+ } Hand 2: 35.763% 32.71% 03.05% 8405439984 783359052.00 { 77+, AJs+, AJo+ } |
