Default Big Pairs Preflop @ short-handed, Where to draw the line?

I know when I'm playing full ring I only feel comfortable against the standard TAG getting it all-in PF w/ AA or KK, but I'm a little less comfortable at short-handed. Here's one recent situation (I had just sat down).

PokerStars Game #11157379987: Hold'em No Limit ($1/$2) - 2007/07/27 - 02:07:20 (ET)
Table 'Klotilde' 6-max Seat #1 is the button
Seat 1: slickster998 ($205 in chips)
Seat 2: ssmith69 ($99.15 in chips)
Seat 3: He H8te Mee ($289.55 in chips)
Seat 4: cityburke ($200 in chips)
Seat 5: touchofgold8 ($271.85 in chips)
Seat 6: llGtphshll ($199.30 in chips)
ssmith69: posts small blind $1
He H8te Mee: posts big blind $2
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to llGtphshll [Ts Tc]
cityburke: folds
touchofgold8: folds
llGtphshll: raises $6 to $8
slickster998: folds
ssmith69: folds
He H8te Mee: raises $16 to $24

So do any of you have a basic outline, do you usually 4-bet here against an unknown? How would you play this OOP? WHat about JJ?

Call...and I usually do the same w/ JJ. A 4-bet really sucks here.

WTF @ fold ???

[/ QUOTE ]Im giving unknowns pretty tight 3-betting range (esp from blinds) until they prove they are decent

Also, I have no idea who this player is because I dont play on Stars...so yeah if he is spewy then call.

If you think his range is tight, you should call for sets, no?

A call or fold here is ok depending on the situation. I play JJ the same as TT quite often.
