AKo OOP with missed flop
$50+$4 tournie. Blinds 150/300.
I have t6000, villain has t3000. I get AKo in EP and open for t800, only villain in LP calls. Flop comes all babies. I'm OOP. Pot is ~t2000. I C-bet t1000. Villain pushes. It's t1000 to call into a t5000 pot and I do. Any way to play this better? I feel like it's a leak. |

Re: AKo OOP with missed flop
'all babies' won't suffice. what's the board?
edit: but it looks like a call, but since it's gonna be a call, theres probably something better you could ahve done. Like c/r the flop, maybe check/fold. |

Does "all babies" mean hero has a straight draw? |

Re: AKo OOP with missed flop
I'm sorry I don't have the HH. The board was 8 high and fairly uncoordinated. I put him on a medium PP or a weaker ace.
Check/fold feels weak against one opponent when I'm the initial aggressor. Check/raise won't get him to fold I think. Not with the size of the pot and his stack size. If he bets he either pushes right away or commits himself. He might check behind when I check, but I kind of doubt that. I wouldn't. I think you're right that a better move is to push the flop. After I c-bet I'm committed to call his push so I might as well push myself. |
