Default Spectators at the WSOP

My wife and I are going to be in Vegas next week and are thinking about stopping by the WSOP on either Tues or Wed. Do you need tickets or anything to watch the WSOP from behind the ropes or to even enter the RIO? Any advice on watching the WSOP? Thanks.

You can simply walk into the tournament room and watch the action.

You can stand on the rail on the outside of all the tables, but at the same time the line to get in the room is huge. I would suggest not going to do it until at least day 3 has begun, since there would be a lot less traffic there and then.

Oh, and be over 21. Makes it a lot easier.

Nope, no tickets needed, and you should be able to watch as much as you like from behind the ropes. They probably won't allow spectators into the room until a few minutes after cards are in the air (to allow the players to move around and get to their seats), and then they generally clear the room of spectators about 10 minutes before each break (to allow the players to get out of the room when the break starts). Other than that, anyone can come and go as they please...

Does anyone know how spectating the Final Table is going to be? Do you just have to get there REALLY early?

I'm wondering that too -- do you need tickets to go see the final table or anything?

Last year the the final 2 days at Binion's required a ticket. I don't think they were available to the general public.

So far at the ME we've had to wait at the door to the room to get in. 1 out 1 in sort of thing. The guard let us in about 6 at a time after a few people had left.

Flashing my ticket from an earlier event got me right in.

So how are they going to do the other events starting Thursday? You won't be able to get in unless registered? There won't be any single table satellites from now on?
