NL10 TPNK, free flop
This situation occur very often, i am in the big blind, and i flop TP with a crap kicker in a multiway pot.
I don't know if i should check/fold the flop, bet/fold the flop and c/f the turn, b/f the flop and b/f the turn or whatever. Re: NL10 TPNK, free flop
I generally bet fold flop and here due to kicker issues and board texture just take a passive line in this hand. Don't let the pot get too big, it's a very marginal situation but won't make a ton of difference so long as you dont get yourself in a tricky situation.
As played is fine imo. |

Re: NL10 TPNK, free flop
I think the flop bet is okay, though it won't make you rich. Checking and evaluating based on the action is another option (so long as you remember that your hand can take very little heat).
The turn card is bad but not atrocious. Bet-folding and checking and then making a decision both seem reasonable to me. The river card sucks, and Villain's $4 overbet is not reassuring, so folding looks best there, even though it's possible he just had 54o or something and just successfully floated you. |

Re: NL10 TPNK, free flop
I bet the flop in this situation every time, but once im called I shut down and assume Im beat, especially in a multiway pot. So bet the flop, but check behind on the turn
This is an example of a situation where you need to exercise pot control. Big hand = big pot, small hand = small pot. A middle pair with no kicker is a weak hand that can basically serve as a bluff catcher. So you want to keep the pot small and try to get to a showdown cheaply. Keep this concept in mind every time you bet a turn card. |

Re: NL10 TPNK, free flop
Every time this happens the line in Super/System pops in my when doyle says "no reason to go broke in a nothing pot" or something similar to that.
So i usualy c/f when 3+ people are in the pot and b/f if its 2-3. |
