Default A couple overpairs I folded, $100 NL

In this first hand villain is awful. He was running at 42/8/1/5 over 50 hands. He was very loose preflop and postflop but not very aggressive at all.

First hand is good.

Second hand: I think more times than not villian has a king here. The only hands in his range that beat you are kk/66/33. I'd either look for a cheap showdown or push.

why would you call the flop to fold on a blank turn?

That's what I was thinking. I push turn as he most likely has a K more often than a set.

I was just calling to see if he bet again. I cant fold the flop can I? If I continue on the turn I'm stacking myself and hoping he has AK. Is this bad?

djj - if this is the first time he's checkraised you I think you have to decide on the flop whether your willing to felt this hand or not. Sure if he check raises often you may be able to peel the flop hoping he doesn't continue on the turn.

I'm not saying you have to felt it or don't. But I would rather either (A) Fold on the flop or (B) call the flop and felt the turn. I wouldn't want to to a combination of the two. Afterall there's very few "good cards" in the deck besides an A or something that pairs the board (not the king).

I would generally just fold the flop against this kind of nit and make a note he check/raised me on a very dry K-high board.

Poker is a game of incomplete information. As we get more information, we can make better decisions.

Not saying I agree with his play, but your question shows a complete lack of fundamental understanding.

Oops, I just now realized he check raised me in the AA hand. For some reason I thought he just raised my c-bet in position. Not sure why I thought that.
