Default 50nl Fold Fullhouse?

No reads haven't played with him before and not longer at this table. I was really agonising on river.

Should i be calling here? Should i have raised turn to avoid this?

So we're putting villain on Ahxh basically?

But yeah, def raise turn; more to get value out of lesser FHes and make your river push easier than to price out his 3 outs.

you appear so weak that this could be anything.

He could have ANY pair here because he thinks you have overs that missed.

I think you should have led or raised the turn.

i guess the river is an easy fold, but how do you not bet or raise the turn?

This really feels like a value push from a 9 that is hoping you just caught your Ace on the river. Add that to the fact that he could easily show up here with any Ah ragh and I'm folding this.

If he shows you a bluff just put it in the back of your mind and be ready to snap him off quick on the next one. Guys that bluff spots like this can't help themselves and he will make another dumb bluff soon enough.

Edit: Just realized he bet the turn after you checked. Most guys would check here with a 9. It's just seems like such a terrible spot to bluff for villain. Hero could have easily been raising AK-AJ pre and got there on the river.

Yeah i really hate my play here. At the time i didn't like the flop call from him, was thinking a 9, qq or possibly the heart draw. For some reason i shut down after this and talked myself into a fold. He showed 8-10 spades.

I've being trying to get better at letting big hands go in tough spots, trying to get better reads and trying to consider hand ranges. I'm fairly new so i've had a problem with these, think at this point i was just looking to make the big fold.

Thanks for all the advice, its helping me to start think about my hands more.

I just wanted to reiterate- the way you played the hand, he knew you would fold. And there's NO way you can judge his hand strength because you pretty much told him you'd given up on the hand on the turn.

You showed weakness on two streets. When you check the river he knows you aren't calling his bet.

I'm starting to lean towards kurto's view. You induce a bluff you call it. Ahxh are the only hands that makes sense for the villain.

(grunch)

I'm all in. He could have a 9, he could have an A, he could have a 6 or 22 or 87 for a busted OESD. I'm all in.
