Re: WSOP on ESPN thread (10/2 - Day 6)
and lol @ Rahme calling with 8-8 on a A-Q-9-7-7 board.
This is why I stopped saying "good call" to calling stations in live games....they're confused because they think it's the easiest call in the world with 2nd or 3rd pair. |

Re: WSOP on ESPN thread (10/2 - Day 6)
[ QUOTE ]
The AI move with TPTK against one of the bigger stacks was a reach but he's not ever laying down AQ in the SB folded to him and I have a feeling we would have seen all the money get in there regardless. [/ QUOTE ] I thought a K hit the turn before he pushed, no? That would mean Scotty didn't even have TPTK when he pushed. Anyway, my feeling towards a lot of players have changed a lot over the lasst month. Khan: I hated the guy when I first saw him. Now, even though I think he should definitely show more consideration to a player that he knocks out, I am growing pretty fond of him. Scotty: I was rooting for him big-time, right up until last night. When things are going his way, he is loaded with one-liners and comments, and is jovial and funny. Then he loses a few pots and suddenly he is telling people not to F with him. Tran: I thought he was way too cocky with his self-praise after his sick call in last week's episode, but I respected the pretty amazing call. Then I watched lasst night and I began disliking him very much. There was a hand, I forget who was involved, JT vs AK I believe. Tran turns down the $1k sidebet offer, cause the money wasn't big enough. Then I think the JT turns a T, but a Q is on board. The JT guy is happy - Tran reprimands him for being happy. Sure enough, J hits the river, JT guy is out of the tourney, and Tran starts asking him "why you do that, see?" in an 'I told ya so' way. WTF Tran? You are not even in the hand, you comment throughout, and now you wanna make the guy feel worse after he busts out? I enjoyed seeing him go for Super Sick Call Part Deux and lose all his chips. |

Re: WSOP on ESPN thread (10/2 - Day 6)
Someone should have tried to put a spell on Tran or stuck needles in a voodoo doll, since Tran believes all that [censored], it would have probably freaked him the hell out, maybe then he'd STFU.

Re: WSOP on ESPN thread (10/2 - Day 6)
Scotty just blew up plain and simple. I don't think it was quite as easy as Norm made it out to be for him to sail to the FT but there was no earthly reason for him to go out the way he did other than tilt. Big time pros may be more used to the pressure and all compared to the majority of the field but they are still human beings and Scotty just fell victim to his emotions.
btw...not to be a nit.....but how come if your Scotty Nguen it's OK to drop F bombs like they're candy corns on halloween? If I tried that crap I would have been penalized each and every time! |

Re: WSOP on ESPN thread (10/2 - Day 6)
That AQ hand was not standard at all. He raised like 9 million chips or 8 million when he was only getting called by a better hand. Hilm's not bad and he's not calling there with QJ. The King was an awful card for Scotty yet he decided to play it like he made three Kings.
Oh and Rahme is terrible. That was not a sick call. the guy busted out of the WCOOP ME in five-ten minutes and hasn't folded a hand on this telecast. He is what we call a "calling station." |

No way he is betting Q now, nor betting TP, so its trips/slowplayed boat or....... 63o. |

What a reckless play by Scotty. There is no value in check-raising; he's only going to get called by a better hand.
