Default Casino Royale Trailer

http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/casinoroyale/

New James Bond Teaser trailer is up -

first impressions - the voice is dead on almost Sean Connery, and the haircut reminds me of the 60's haircut that Sean Connery used to have -

this episode is supposed to be his first double-00 mission - I don't like the idea of screwing with continuity - (still a Judi Dench for M, which I'm not totally cool with frying the continuinity like that when I know she wasn't there when he started - LOL) -

but interesting - a less gadget-intensive Bond, which is a nice change. -

If you've seen "Layer Cake" you'll know that Daniel Craig will be a great Bond. the only problem I have with this movie is that it was Tarantino's idea to do "Casino Royal" the first Bond book, but the producers wouldn't let him Direct it, which is BS.

I think the majority of the pop prefers the Jason Bourne/Jack Bauer type of hero than the old school James bond type.

Plus the blonde hair and the way he looks like he is always pouting his lips makes me want to vomit.

Has anybody confirmed that Bond will be playing p*ker instead of baccarat? I heard that rumor and thought it was the dumbest [censored] thing I ever heard.

He will be playing holdem apparently.

The book has him having a very tense and exciting face-off in baccarat. It's not that different, if you think about it. It's all about winning or losing at the turn of the last card - same can happen in holdem...

Here's a review of the book on 2+2 if you're interested.

From what I've read, the film is sticking close to the book apart from swapping baccarat for holdem, and if it does, it's gonna be more intense than any Bond before it.

I really hope it does!

I don't know much Bond history. I've seen comments referring to character differences between the book Bond and the movie Bond. Or was it the old movie Bond and the newer movie Bond? Anyway, can someone summarize those differences for me?

The book Bond is serious, fastidious about his work and life, and flinty-hearted.

Hopefully this'll tie into his character from The Jacket.
