Default floor does nothing about guy slapping another player @ HP last night?

before anyone gets antsy, it was "only" a slap on the hand, not face, but it was a very hard swing which could have very easily lead to a fist fight.

seat 3 is a guy in his late 30s to early 40s playing pretty donkishly, seat 4 is drunk and in his mid 20s, very obnoxious and playing even more so.

hand comes up and there's about 100 on the flop, and seat 3 leads out for 75 on it with 4 to act behind him. drunky thinks for a minute and asks how much 3 has behind him (its about 300 on top of the raise and seat 3 has drunky covered.) seat 3 doesnt answer and drunky sticks his stack of 100 over the hands of 3 and into his stack to measure up against his. seat 3 yells and tells the dealer to run the game, floor comes over, yelling back and forth for a while, floorman tells everyone to calm down.

drunky apologizes and insists he only wants a count, and asks the floor, dealer, or seat 3 to do it. no one complies, and after a few more minutes, seat 3 lifts up his hands from hsi stack and tells drunky to count it.

drunky reaches over and touches the stack, and seat 3 immediately slaps drunky on the hand very violently.

more bitching and whining, security now comes over, drunky eventually folds and there is a lot of [censored] talking still going on. after about 10 more minutes seat 8 finallys asks drunky to switch with him, but that doesnt alleviate the problem as drunky is now just calling seat 3 a [censored], fat boy, etc.

table eventually breaks and i get put on a table with drunky, and the floor asks him to leave after about 5 minutes at the table. drunky starts playing the race card cause he is white and the dealer, floorman, security and seat 3 were black. blah blah blah.

sorry for the long winded story. can floor really do this? seat 3 got no punishment at all but left a few hands after the altercation on his own. was drunky really so far out of hand the 2nd time that getting slapped is really warranted without any punishment for seat 3?

The "reverse race card play," I love it! Now if the floors were both white he could try the "double reverse racecard play," but the probability of success would be lower.

This insanity is why I have no interest in playing at HP, no matter how good the games are.

Wow, first off dealer needs to be in control of the game and count seat 3's stack. Sounds like seat 3 didn't tell drunky to count his stack but he asked the dealer to count it and drunky mistook it as asking him to count it. But all in all it sounds like everybody involved was responsible and not just one person.

I don't get how it got to that point. Why wouldn't the dealer count the stack? Isn't that part of the dealer's job in NLHE (unless the player volunteers the info)?

Does HP let dealers refuse to push the pot at showdown, too, in order to spite the table drunk? What a madhouse.

Considering I've never read anything good about HP on these boards, it almost seems like S.O.P. over there. The place seems to make money by accident the way I read it here.

HP is no better or worse than the other LA casinos. Every place has its share of bad dealers and floor personel. The games are juicy and worth the occasional BS.

Both players should have been given a time out or sent to bed without cookies and milk.

How do you react when people reach over and touch your money?

You can't just grab or touch people's chips.

Sounds like everyone involved need a KITN.

If the dealer or floor had a clue it would've never gotten that far in the first place.

1st blame is on them. Primarily the dealer.

yes, the dealer was definitely not the best at controlling/handling the game. but when seat 3 said count it, it was directed at drunky, but seat 3 meant to count with his eyes (I understood that, but drunky didn't)
