Default River bluff

Villain is a 20/8/2 regular. I don't remember any history.

No IQ poker 0.25/0.50, hand converted by the iPoker Converter at Talking-Poker

Button Hero ($50.00)
SB ($93.20)
BB ($51.34)
UTG ($130.15)
UTG+1 ($61.30)
CO ($54.00)

Preflop: Hero is on the Button with 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
UTG calls 0.50, 2 folds, Hero raises to 2.50, 2 folds, UTG calls 2.00.

Flop (5.75) 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
UTG checks, Hero checks.

Turn (5.75) A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
UTG checks, Hero bets 4.31, UTG calls 4.31.

Instant call here.

River (14.37) A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
UTG bets 1.00, Hero raises to 10.00

What kind of a blocking bet is this?

I like it personally. I think this is often a PP that expected you to bet the ace regardless of your holding.
Obviously he could have Ax but IMO this is a blocking bet quite often from soemthign like 66 or 88.

Obviously a pp or a sc - what else can he limp call UTG? Otherwise I would bet the flop. But he cant call turn with a sc.

ps I also almost broke a "3BI down" stop loss rule, what do you expect from me?

"no one ever folds a boat"
Relatively unknown

its ok, just rather not do it vs just "a regular" tbh.

I am not expecting him to fold a boat. I am expecting him to fold 77. Maybe T9 if I am lucky.
