Seeing CC go limp like that makes me sad.

I asked my friend last night, how would you feel if Fedor got knocked out? We both said we'd cry.

Anyone else find Arlovski's fight very reminiscent of his last fight vs sylvia? In both fights, the eventual winner got an early lead in the fight and then kept the rest of the fight super controlled/boring. Although to be fair to Arlovski, I've watched MUCH more boring fights in the heavyweight division (anyone else remember a fight 7-10 UFCs ago where the two heavyweights basically just stared at each other for 2.5 rounds until one of them superman punched the other for the ko? [censored] hillarious fight), plus I assumed he was really fighting "carefully", working to gain back his confidence.

FWIW, I wonder if serious bonus money attached to ending the fight would be more incentive than a card penalization system. Say, $50K for a ko/tko/submission in the first round, $25K in the 2nd, $10k in the third. Or do they already have some incentive like this?

Ironically, that was Gonzaga who threw that Superman punch. The alleged reason for that fight being so boring was that his daughter or something had died recently.

My jaw was stuck open for two minutes after CroCop was knocked out.

props to Gonzaga. He had good elbows on the ground. I hope CC doesn't retire, but it didn't really look like his heart was in it during the fight.

I think Gonzaga takes Randy out fairly easily. He's too big and strong for the champ.

HW Rankings:
1. Fedor
2. Nog
3. ?????????

There was a thread on Sherdog about an interview from a Croatian paper after Cro Cop got off the plane there. Apparently he is committed to finishing out his contract and seemed to be in a better mood that immediately after the fight.
