Default Overpair + NFD

What do you think about my river bet (or any other part of my hand)? I had a hand going down on another table so wasn't paying too much attention.
In retrospect i think it is a horrible bet; a flush or set should have raised by now, so i am most likely up against a K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Qx type hand and am not going to get a call from a worse hand.

Villain is 28/13/1.05 and coldcalls too much preflop over a decent sample of mined hands.

You may get called by a hand like KsJx/QsJx/etc.. or something similar but that is one small range. You probably aren't going to induce much on this board though.

Pretty much, there is not much value in any river action for you.

I like to induce a bluff here but Villain has 1.05 Agression factor...so bet for value is the best way.

nh.

What hand are we inducing a bluff from? We have the Ace of spades. I think his most likely hand is JxQs or JxKs and a ton of the time he won't be able to fold it.

I think this hand was played fine.

5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] would be sick here. You're probably way ahead, though so just value bet the river.

You played it great, if villain were a maniac or even typical LAG I like to bet flop as you did, then check turn as if giving up post-c-bet :P then you can make a disgusting C/R and try to get him to shove based on investment or at the very least pay much more to catch the spade hes drawing dead for.
