Default Any advice on closing strategies?

I just started playing online in July so I'm still pretty new and looking for advice. Playing MTT, I have made 2 final tables and finished somewhat deep in 2 others in the last few weeks. I play a very unimaginative TAG style. ABC poker seems to work well for me in these tournaments until the bubble bursts. After that, if big hands elude me, I usual go out with a whimper as the blinds and antes eat me alive. I just can't bring myself to make moves with suspect hands late in tourny. Is it really all about finding and pushing +EV spots? If so, is this the only way to go about closing strong or are there other stategies to apply late?

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks
