Default QQ reraised and called

$1500 live MTT, original stacks 7K. Blinds 50/100. I have about 6K, 5th position has about 4K, and BB has about 14K. 5th position is young with shades; he limp/called Ax and appears to be a donk. BB is black with shades; he raised 86s from CO, called a reraise, and bet small when he made a flush on turn; seems like OK player. I raise to 300 in 2nd position with QQ, 5th poaition reraises to 800, and BB cold calls. What do I do?

Everyone says call. I thought of that, but I pushed. Was the push bad?

i mean, you have 6k at 50/100. seems like too much to shove... i like calling here and proceeding with caution

But the reraiser only has 4K.

I pushed, and both players folded. Cold caller folded AKo face up.

I guess the push sort of turns QQ into 55 as I am not getting called by anything but AA/KK and maybe AK.

This was partly based on reads and my impression that both villains were loose.

Someone commented that I could beat the AK and someone else that I could probably beat QQ. With the action, it was obvious I probably had AA/KK and at worst QQ/AK.

I didn't pick up that big a pot, but getting AK to fold was a good result.

betgo,

Also remember to be aware of your image. You are an old guy so people will lean towards you being tighter. This shouve is more to protect your hand or something? I dunno. I guess it's okay but I think call preflop > shove since the guy w/ 4k total will be last to act and you can then get a read from BB, and make your decision after his action. You will probably have enough information postflop to made a good decision vs their ranges I think.
