Default Recommendations on Game Selection at S Cal 18+ casinos

New poster here, but long time lurker and reader. I was wondering what everyone here thought of my situation. I live in Orange County and I'm just 18 so going to Commerce or Ocean's 11 is out of the question. That leaves me with Barona and Morongo close enough to drive out to. I've been a pretty successful player at 1/2NL and 3/6 in the last three months since turning 18. My original BR was 900 and I've turned that into 2.5k, not including a BBJP I won for 6k. Anyways what I'm asking is what game do you think I should be playing. Is 2.5k enough of a BR to be playing in a 2/5 NL game? Should Ijust stick to the cheap NL game with all the fish and grind it out, while maybe upping the limitn stakes to 4/8 or 5/10? Thanks for your opinions and I plan to stick around and keep posting.

2/5 is the $200 NL and you could sit in that and see how you do. Set a stop loss and go back down if it doesn't work out.

Of course $1600 in 3 months isn't much of a win rate but you haven't said how often you play. If it's just once or twice a week then that's pretty good. Full-time and it isn't.

Pechanga would be closer than Morongo, no? I know they have a poker room, but I don't know what games or how many tables they have since I've never been.

Anyway, I guess 2/5 is worth a shot. Pretty much the same game, just more money. Just be humble enough to drop down if things go awry.

I'm almost positive that Pechanga is 21+.

By the way, I've been 10 times in the 3 months for approximetly 40 hours total. This is in no way a job as I am still in high school and soon to be graduating, it is just for fun and a little cash on the side.
I guess I'll try it out tonight as I plan to head to Morongo and check out both the 1/2 NL game and the 2/5 game. Thanks for the advice guys.

Morongo is fun if your looking for a good time and much hotter
"scenery" but Commerce is just too live to pass up and depending on where in OC you are morongo can be a drive. Don't get me wrong the monongo games are pretty easy as well but commerce is even better and the shorter drive is way more convienent.

Edited - because this post just got boardertj banned for two days. Discussion of underage gambling when illegal is not permitted. - TT

My mistake. I thought Pechanga wan an Indian casino. I remember when I turned 18 my mom took my twin and I to the casino. For some reason I thought it was Pechanga, but maybe it was Morongo. It was so long ago I can't remember. Anyway, good luck!

Pechanga is an Indian casino, but they serve alcohol so it's 21+. I'm 100% on that because I play there on a regular basis.

You could try Sycuan, Viejas, or Barona. Those are all 18+ that I know about in the area.

Pechanga used to be 18+, but switched to 21+ several years ago. All the teenie boppers switched to Morongo.
