Default Douche player on the verge of getting tossed...

While dealing a 2/4 limit game on Monday of this week the following hand occurs:
A player flops a boat with 88 on 484 board and another player rivers a higher boat with JJ with J on the river. After first player check calls flop, checks turn, check raises the river and loses.

The player starts whining that the dealer gave him a bad beat. This guy is a local, never seen him before but clearly a local. Wearing his WPT shirt and bitching, literally bitching about "nice way to give him his F'ing 6% win dealer, learn how to deal from now on". I blow it off.

2 hours later, I come back to the same table, while I'm standing there waiting to push, the player says: "Well everyone should take a break, this dealing will screw you the first chance he gets".

My reply: "Sir, I can't believe your're taking that personally and the cards are just cards".

Douchebag: "Whatever man, you're a F'king pro so teach me how to play my cards or just shut up."

Again, I let it go.

2nd hand on the table and he decides to be mister big shot and put his blind right at the rail where I can obviously not reach. He's in the 3 seat. I say "sir can you please move your blind foward a bit?". He mumbles something. I say: "Excuse me.."

He says: "You heard me, its out ther and I'm sitting way back here. No i'm not moving it." So as I'm about to call for the floor a player is nice enough to move it in.

He loses the hand, gets pissed, walks to the bathroom, I called the floor and told him everything that has happened and a couple players have commented he's an prick and keeps running his mouth to them too.

The floor grabs him on the way back and speaks to him. Then my floor walks over and says to me, if anything is said or done from here out, call me imediately and this will get taken care of now.

He shut up, left as soon as my down was over.

I mean, wtf is wrong with people? I never gave attitude and all I did was say that I dont think he should take it personaly. By then he was clearly being a dick and was pissed. What a F'in douchebag is all I can say.

My venting is over.

you shouldnt of even mentioned the previous down...... He was 100% in the right for what he said - he has the right to say whatever the hell he wants as long as it's legal - which what he said absoultely was. Does it create a weird unhappy table? Sure it does. Will he likely piss his money away? Hell yeah.. Is it funny he's wearing a WPT at a 2/4 table? Damn right. Is anyone in a poker room wearing a WPT shirt funny as hell? Yep...

Where do you deal Photoc? Some idiot touristy room like Monte Carlo?

You pinpointed it. He's a douche. Take comfort in the fact that his life is probably miserable.

I think this was a mistake.
Call floor immediately so that they can let him know where he stands.

He's behaving extremely inappropriately and I think this stuff is tolerated far too much in live poker-rooms.

I think the one player you are keeping around to pay rake turns out in the long-run to be more costly for the room by making the playing experience unpleasant for the other players.

would it be wrong to just throw him a big blind lammer and ask the next person to post his blind?

Whenever I see players abusing dealers in this way I usually focus all of my attention on making fun of them really loudly, pissing them off, and yelling at them until they shut up.

"My reply: 'Sir, I can't believe your're taking that personally and the cards are just cards'."

You shouldn't have "replied" since he wasn't talking to you. Gambling can bring out the worst in people. Gambling and losing does bring out the worst in people. If you're going to deal, you have to also learn how to deal with these jerks. If they're abusive physically or rhetorically, call over the floor. Engaging in conversion about a hand that happened two hours ago is a mistake.

This is 100% correct. This will probably be clearer to people that are from CA, but the dealer needs to not talk. If someone is out of line call the floor, nothing good EVER comes from talking to one of these guys.
