Default Foxwoods 75/150 Omaha hi/lo and/or mixed game?

Hi all,

I'm likely going to be "taking a shot" and plunking down around 4K into the Foxwoods 75/150 game (hoping to also visit during the next WPT events in late March)

* When Does It Run Regularly (Days & Hours please)

* Is It Usually Full-Ring or shorter handed?

* Usually O8 or is it mixed, what games are in the rotation?

* Skill level of players?

* Mostly regulars?

* Anything else I should be aware of?

I don't play that high yet, but have on a handfull of occasions played a 20-40 or 30-60 mixed game where 2 or 3 of the worst players in the game jumped to the newly started 75 mixed game. The instigator was usually Dave P. who is probably the best O/8 regular in the room.

During tournament time, a 75 mixed game should run every night full handed. these days it runs toward the end of the week. usually half OE, half stud 8, though you may find a straight OE. As I said in previous post, I haven't played it but have played with some who might play it and their not tough by any means. if you play solidly, and maybe aggressively in short handed pots you should be o.k. good luck.

4k isn't nearly enough for anything other than a single short session. Just hope you realize that.

I've played as high as 30/60 live, although mostly did the 20/40 O.E. when the WPT was in town last November.

I would think 4K would be a typical buy-in in a 75/150 limit game, no?

the variance in the 75 will be much higher than the 20/40 or 30/60 games.

4K should be fine for 1 session as long as you don't play scared with it.

With guys like John Hoang limping 2359 UTG and then calling two raises cold, I'm not too worried about the variance. I hope most of the players are that bad.

But, I'm more skilled at full-ring games, not short-handed or heads-up. I believe they usually don't start the tables until there are 8 players anyway (from what I had heard late last year), not sure if that's regularly the case or not?

runs pretty much everyday at 6 or so, usually h.o.e. or 2 of those games, id say all regulars but no one really tuff. the E section is where they play the worst i think. definetly much easier than AC bigger games.

gl 4k is a lil short for 1 session but gl anyway.

Ick, limit Hold Em makes my eyes bleed, but I'd be happy to rape them of their cash in either the O or E rotations.

I had heard the players weren't all that tough, so that's comforting. What buyin do you recommend for a single session?

Are the games mostly full-ring or short-handed?

I assume the aggression level is obviously much higher than low and middle limits, but are hands usually still multiway pre-flop (i.e. 5+ in O8 to the flop?) and how many at showdown usually?

Thanks for the info.
