Raise preflop, especially from the CO.

I really don't like to stack of here in a mutli-way limped pot.

Raise preflop, push flop. If you are worried about A236 here then you are playing the wrong game.

if you are limping this hand in position, then you playing a fundamentally weak PLO8 game.

with 6 players seeing the flop it is fairly likely (70%+) that someone has one or even both of remaining 6s. Put another way, there are 45 cards you haven't seen and 20 amongst the other players - both 6s would need to be in the 25 that aren't accounted for. Now 6 is one of the worst cards so it is more likely to be thrown away, but nevertheless I think your chances of being up against a 6 are at least 70%. Somebody may also have 33. I think it's better to keep the pot small than go to war with the second best high, a flush draw that may not be good, a low draw that may not come about and one or two players trapping with 6x hands as well as the A2 candidates.

Check, and try to see the turn cheaply. As it turned out, the money probably would have gone in on the turn anyway since you may have the best hand with the flush and some kind of low even if you hadn't. But on the flop I slow down here, you aren't getting rid of anyone who holds any 6.

hahaha dude...

why are you putting all your money on the flop when you're CLEARLY behind? With AA2 I can understand but here you're playing for half the pot at best.

And the pot is $6...and there are SIX players!!!

Jesus Christ.

If you're going to play this hand like that, you must raise before the flop. Get rid of some opponents.

You played this hand so bad I almost cried when I read it.

Yes, this is bad. AAxx is only a good high hand if you can narrow the field to one or (sometimes) two opponents. Similarly A5 isn't much of a low. Miraculously you managed to get it HU after the flop by betting like crazy, which *might* allow you to get half the pot by risking your entire stack. Betting a few more bucks preflop would have made this hand play a lot easier.

I was notoriously passive when I first started playing O8, and one of my biggest problems was limping with any AAxx hand. Once I convinced myself that there was long-term value in raising most of these hands preflop (except for things like AA69 unsuited), my results with AA immediately improved.

These hands always play better heads up. Multi-way pots are usually coin-flips, regardless of how pretty your hand may look pre-flop.

First off, he is not CLEARLY behind anything. A random hand with a 6:
http://twodimes.net/h/?z=2515243
pokenum -o8 ac as qs 5d - 6d ad 7s kh -- 6c 3s 6s
Omaha Hi/Low 8-or-better: 820 enumerated boards containing 6s 3s 6c
cards scoop HIwin HIlos HItie LOwin LOlos LOtie EV
As Qs Ac 5d 210 257 563 0 450 12 33 0.487
7s Ad 6d Kh 227 563 257 0 84 378 33 0.513

You are crushing an A2 with a flush draw:
http://twodimes.net/h/?z=2515245
pokenum -o8 ac as qs 5d - 2d ad 7s ks -- 6c 3s 6s
Omaha Hi/Low 8-or-better: 820 enumerated boards containing 6s 3s 6c
cards scoop HIwin HIlos HItie LOwin LOlos LOtie EV
As Qs Ac 5d 357 807 13 0 108 352 9 0.713
Ks 7s Ad 2d 12 13 807 0 450 108 9 0.287

You are in rough shape vs A26x:
http://twodimes.net/h/?z=2515246
pokenum -o8 ac as qs 5d - 2d ad 6d kh -- 6c 3s 6s
Omaha Hi/Low 8-or-better: 820 enumerated boards containing 6s 3s 6c
cards scoop HIwin HIlos HItie LOwin LOlos LOtie EV
As Qs Ac 5d 78 248 572 0 108 378 9 0.266
Ad 6d 2d Kh 458 572 248 0 450 36 9 0.734

But are slightly better off vs a made boat:
http://twodimes.net/h/?z=2515247
pokenum -o8 ac as qs 5d - 3d ad 6d kh -- 6c 3s 6s
Omaha Hi/Low 8-or-better: 820 enumerated boards containing 6s 3s 6c
cards scoop HIwin HIlos HItie LOwin LOlos LOtie EV
As Qs Ac 5d 39 39 781 0 472 0 48 0.340
Ad 6d 3d Kh 277 781 39 0 0 96 48 0.660

Note that you are at 2:1 vs a made boat, making it ok to call a PSB.

The key is understanding what the odds are that you are facing any of the above hands. I'd likely want to call here, rather than pushing, but I would have certainly potted preflop so it's not the ideal spot. You need to see someone with A2 and spades a small percentage of the time to make it ok to call here. If you think you have fold equity vs a 6 or whatever villain might hold then go ahead and push it.
