[/ QUOTE ] I was hitting the party 1/2 to 3/6 sh games for somewhere just under 3bb/100 before the legislation. IIRC, 70k hands. Can't exactly respond to Stars 3/6, but I doubt it will be too much different than Party. When I switched to Stars, wife challenged me to only deposit $50. Currently playing 1/2 with $500, will move up when at 200BB for next level. At my rate of play, along with impending additions, that won't be until mid October... Yeah I used to play almost all short handed limit O/8. My rate for all 3-4 handed limit action between 2-4 and 5-10 is .05 bb per hand so i figure roughly 5bb/100 and this was back when I didn't have PAhud so I wasn't using stats (mistake) The problem of course is that short handed games usually exist one at a time so I only have 1592 hands = very small sample size.
BTW I was playing FT. |

You had better hope so, that is if you want to play anything over 3/6 on a regular basis.
I love it when all the full tables on Stars have waiting lists of 9-10 people, and there is one guy sitting at an open table and no one wants to play him. It's especially ironic when you consider that these people who are afraid of short-handed action play full-ring with shorthanded VPIP's. |

$3/$6 and $5/$10 short-handed Omaha-8 have been very profitable in my experience, and I wouldn't even say I'm a very good O8 player.

Looking at your blog, I'd say the first thing you should brush up on is BR management. You built your BR up to $900 and then sat down in a $30/60 game. 15BB is *not* a reasonable BR no matter how good you are. Similarly you're talking about playing $2/4 with a $160 BR, which is marginally less suicidal but still carries a very high risk of ruin.
I realize of course that playing 0.50/1.00 may seem boring after your fling at $30/60, but if you're serious about winning and not just playing for the gambler's rush then that's the level you should be playing at. I have no additional advice except to note that a decent bankroll for 3/6 would be $1200 (more if you're conservative about these things), not $160 which is what you indicated you had left. |

I think I've been too conservative in my BR management. Maybe its time to give away money at a faster rate.
