Questions about being a B/M Casino Dealer?
OK, first let me say this. I hate my office job right now. I work 8-4 building websites and I hate every second of it. I want to go back to school for something other than this. There is no way I can do this for the rest of my life. I have been considering many different things, but I am pretty sure about trying to be a casino dealer (I live ~40 minutes from AC and love the atmosphere there). I have some questions for anyone with experience or knowledge. I may/may not be attending classes while doing this as well
Is it hard to get a job? How much can you expect to make per shift? How wierd are the hours? What would a standard week of shifts be like? Do you HAVE to go to like dealer college or will the casino train you? Is poker better than table games? Any tips or advice? |

Re: Questions about being a B/M Casino Dealer?
Most of the answers will vary from room to room. The way I got my job was by calling up the house closest to me and asking how I go about getting a job. They referred to me to their preferred dealer school and that was that.

Re: Questions about being a B/M Casino Dealer?
Making money as a poker dealer in general is much better than a casino table games dealer. There are exceptions however. Dealing as a table games dealer at Wynn LV is much more lucrative than a poker dealer in the same casino. Your wages and what you make as a poker dealer also depend on how well the manager and staff of a poker room run the room. If ever you elect to be a poker dealer, make sure you get a job where you go for your own in tips. Splitting tips with poker dealers will make you wish you were creating web sites on the internet again.

Making money as a poker dealer in general is much better than a casino table games dealer. There are exceptions however. Dealing as a table games dealer at Wynn LV, MGM, Caesars, Mandalay Bay, Bellagio, The Rio, and Venetian are much more lucrative than a poker dealer in the same casino.
