Open ended straight draw early in 4/180
2nd hand in a 4/180 on Stars. Everyone pretty much has starting stack of 1500.
Hero is BB with 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG folds, and pretty much everyone else limps. Hero Checks. Flop 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] MP goes all in, folded to CO who goes all in. Pot ~3200 or so. Is this a good time to get my money in to triple up? I'm getting almost exactly the right price, 2.1:1 or so for my straight draw with 2 cards to come. Or should I just fold this and wait for a better spot since it's so early? |

Re: Open ended straight draw early in 4/180
The way I consider this is that you are probably better than the average players taking part in this tourney.
So, as it is early in the tourney, why not wait for an opportunity when hopefully you will have more of an edge over your opponents. |

Re: Open ended straight draw early in 4/180
I think I'd fold b/c sometimes KT type of hands are also in vollain's range which kills some of the outs we need/giving them redraw to full house even if we hit. You have invested just 1BB in this hand so fold and wait for better spot.
