Default Best ND QB ever?

If Quinn puts up a monster year, wins the Heisman, and leads the Irish to a national championship, does he go down as better than Montana and Theisman? The numbers seem to say so.

How will he pan out in the pros?

I would think that he would. Already has a ton of records.

John Huarte has to be somewhere in the discussion.

Talking about the numbers when the offenses that previous quaterbacks ran were so much more geared towards the ground is really effing silly.

When determining the best QB, are you looking just at what they did at ND? or are you considering what they did in the pros too?

He should go down as the top QB in ND history, assuming all comes to fruition. As far as what he'll do in the pros, when Charlie Weiss is saying he'll be a solid NFL QB, that probably carries some relevance.

Do you really think that Weis is going to say "Yea, he's great as a college QB, but he won't pan out in the pros."

I agree. However, Quinn has a chance to lead the team to a national championship, win the Heisman trphy, and become the #1 pick in the NFL draft. All while being a 4 year starter. Not very many people can say that.

If he does accomplish those things, then I think he has to be considered the greatest QB at ND.

And no we are not considering anything in the pros.
