Default AQ - wtf was that?

Poker stars 3-6 9 handed

MP is decent, 25/5 kinda player. He would bet the turn with a worse hand than I have.

CO is complete unknown

I have A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in BB

MP1 limps, MP2 limps, CO limps, SB calls, I raise, all 4 call

Flop(5 players) 10sb

2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

sb checks, I check, MP1 bets, MP2 folds, CO calls, sb folds, I call

Turn(3 players) 6.5BB

Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I check, MP bets, CO calls, I raise, MP calls, CO 3-bets, I?

what the [censored] was that? now what?

I'd probably just call down the rest of the way. This could be a rare instance where flopped trips is waiting for the river to raise.

pretty much screams monster that was waiting for his opponents to get invested in the pot before bringing the hammer down. I'd fold unless I had a read that this guy was prone to funky stunts.

I bet he has 88 alot of the time. Perfect hand to slowplay on the flop, and your raise coupled w/ the MP call is a dream come true for him to get full value on his hand.

I think this is a spot where I in retrospect would have wished I folded but I probably would have called down live.

This is probably one of my biggest leaks (in addition to playing to loose pf), not being able to fold when I know I am beat but holding TPTK.

I'd guess he has 88 or perhaps a deuce. I cannot beleave a sane person would make that move without at least trips or a full house. If he has not stuck out before and drawn your attention you have to assume you are not up against a maniac.

So you are probably drawing to two outs and should fold.

It's definitely a fold-fold situation. Whatever he has, you're beat unless he's a total maniac.

Fold. Your two outs are no good here.
