He's better than Moneymaker and Varkoyni, but worse than Hachem and Raymer

[/ QUOTE ]

Hachem>Raymer>Varkoni's wife>Moneymaker=Gold.

I'm not quite sold on the fact that Moneymaker is as bad a player as people like to make him out to be.

Jamie Gold was incredibly lucky. He did play pretty well. He is a real creep and I am certain that he is really ashamed of his obnoxious personality. Players owe the game of poker something. He should act like a man not a creep.

LOL. Dude, it's called table talk. And it was quite effective. People have been doing it long before cameras caught them in the act. If you can use something to gain an advantage over your opponent and it's legal, you use it.

I don't care how much of an ass Gold is at or away from the table. He used something that proved effective. End of story.

he beat 8700 players in a tournament. i'd say that's pretty good, even if he is a luckbox/not anywhere close to the pros (and, btw, i think he's a crapbag). please spare me the "over x hands anyone can..." arguments. he beat 8700 players, end of story.

No, that's not the end of the story. Tiffany Williamson beat over 5000 players but is a terrible player. I'm not saying Gold is bad, but the "he beat 8700 players, end of story" argument is stupid.
