I generally try to color code things so that green means I want them at my table (very loose, very passive, folds to all CBs, folds all blinds to steals, etc.), and red means I don't want them at my table (aggressive, tight, defends blinds, etc.... I currently don't have separate codes for players that are, for example, so tight that I do want them at my table). I also have pink as past red instead of past green (though I think my "pink" is more of a magenta color), I only use it to draw my attention to especially high aggression since I'm so used to green / orange / red and magenta stands out.

I'm still adjusting mine, but right now I have the following:

CB%
0-30
30-50
50-70
70-100

Steals
0-5
5-15
15-30
30-100

Folds to CB (I've found I only need three colors so far for this as anyone folding by a little more than 50%+ is a target for me).
0-30
30-50
50-100

Not sure what to set WSD and W$SD at yet.
WSD
0-10
10-30
30-50
50-100

W$SD
0-20
20-40
40-60
60-100

i think i like ur fold to CB. and ill have to do some thinkin on the CB%. wud u mind screenshoting ur layout so i can see what it looks like? thnx

Here's a screenshot for Full Tilt. It's the most clutered site to play on I find due to the layout, perhaps I should play on one of the other formats or get a mod. I use combination stats on Stars and Party but I couldn't get them to fit on Full Tilt.

By the way, my reasoning on the fold to c-bet is that if I'm making 3/4 to full pot sized C-bets, I'm profiting automatically against the 50%+ group.

The middle group is probably drawing a lot of the time and I can probably double barrel some of them if a draw doesn't hit the turn, read dependant of course.

The last group I try to make notes on a lot and don't c-bet as much without at least something or unless I'm sure the board missed them. They don't fold so either they have me figured out and know that I'm C-betting with air a lot of the time or they are just plain calling stations. I usually take V$PIP and TA into account then to make the distinction. A low V$PIP and high TA calling me down is either floating or trapping and I need to be careful. A high V$PIP and WSD and low TA is just calling down with any part of the board so I tighten up and value bet hard. This is why I like to have as many stats visible as possible rather than having to click for the pop-up.

Hope this helps.

Edit: In case my pic is too cluttered, the stats are:

Left side: V$PIP / PFR / TA / Hands
Right Side: Attempted to Steal / Cbet / Went to Showdown / Won $ at Showdown
Bottom: Fold to Cbet / Call Cbet / Raise CBet

I only 4 table on Full Tilt if that, I'm having trouble with PAHUD there (or maybe it's just the FT software) but everything keeps freezing up on me every 5 minutes so I rarely play there anymore. I was just looking at the racetrack layout, never thought about it but that would probably work better for combined stats.

I usually play 6-8 on Party and Stars with the combined stats. Much easier to see.

Grunching.... 'cause I'm lazy

I take all the "Watch Out!!" range and make it red. Then use yellow, then green.

But, and this is where grunching might be wrong, I assume others are not fully thinking thru the color-code system. I put the "excellent" player in red and work my way to fishy green. Also, only use three colors to minimize my over-reliance on the stats. I have, in the past, overused the stats/HUD (especially the icon YUCK)and now with just three colors, it reminds me that the colors are only a suggestion of villain's tendancies.

I am going to list my colors for VP$IP in generic numbers as I don't have the actually numbers avail right now.

0-10% Yellow
11-22% Red
23-99% Green

The super rock is not that hard to play against. Why would you color code him RED??? Make all your "excellent" player stats red and you will get a better picture of the TABLE DYNAMICS when skimming thru looking for a table to join.

Just MHO.

JH1

EDIT: Geez, I can't stand FTP Player icons...why do you still show them? They just clutter the screen IMHO.

Go to PAHUD and delete from your layout:

VP$IP
PFR
AGG
WTSD
Hands

Next, configure a Combination Stat to incorporate the previously deleted. Position across the top of player name box.

That will go a LONG way to freeing up space on a FTP table.

If you want to save on space and declutter you can use "combined stats"
For example I have the standard VPIP/PFR/AF all in one line. That clears up some space so you can add "fold to c-bet" etc.

I use colour coding too but I have no idea what colours to use for
- WSD
- Fold to C-bet

Edit - See King Spews post above for a better explaination! LOL.

Hi.

Iīve been using my HUD without any structure to the colour code, basically just using the default ones. I think youīre right about trying to settle a "standard" to the colour codes. My personal opinion is that using 5 colours like OP (Split Suit)is to many as it will be hard to get a "quick" read of the opponent. I liked the idea of having a "good player" colour like King Spew suggested, but I think that using only 3 colours makes the ranges to wide but then again, like he said, itīs only a suggestion to villains tendencies.
I use 2 combined stats in my HUD, each with 4 stats in them (VPIP/PFR/TA/ATS and CC/CB/FCB/WSD) and if I find a player with the first line all in the red I would know that this is a player who knows what heīs doing. Hereīs a suggestion of colours/ranges mixed from posts in this thread. Feel free to hack them (or me ) to pieces if you donīt like them, but please explain why.

Yellow = Tight or passive
Red = Reg / good player
Pink = upper range of the red. Looser / more aggro.
Green = probably quite exploitable

VPIP
0-11 Yellow
11-21 Red
22-26 Pink
27- Green

PFR
0-9 Yellow
9-16 Red
17-22 Pink
23- Green

TA
0-1,6 Yellow
1,61-2,25 Red
2,25-3 Pink
3- Green

ATS
0-15 Yellow
15-35 Red
35-55 Pink
55- Green

FCB
Like JH1 above.

CB/WSD/CC
I need some help with those so please.......
