Call here given this read? JJ on an overpaired board.
Villain thinks I am the hugest fish ever. He literally spent over an hour berating me non stop in a chat box last night. He is 47.1/25 and thinks he is God's gift to Poker. He makes some good moves sometimes but sometimes he makes some TERRIBLE ones. He likes to bluff me, but not too often. Thoughts?

Well, I usually like betting the flop, but given you checked it's an easy calldown considering the turn and river cards

Re: Call here given this read? JJ on an overpaired board.
I almost always bet this flop too, good texture for CB, especially after re-raise.
If you want to check somewhere in this hand, check the turn or river for pot control. Any clue what he's calling re-raises with? More likely Ax or small cards? Turn: Meh. You induced a bluff, and there it is. Raise is tough, because you're usually crushed when you're called (although you might move off KQ), calling is tough because of all the bad free cards that can hit. Any clue what his smallish river bet means? If you think you were ahead on the turn, you're still ahead. If this guy's a movemaker like you say, you only need to be good here 1/4 of the time to call. |
