Default US$1,250,000 exposure: long CNYvs.USD bi*ches...beat that!

title says it all. they gave the dude an account!

i have begun to trade my own discretionary account with my own mani. above is first position. ONE FULL CONTRACT

C'MON IMMEDIATE FLOATING OF THE YUAN. GET THERE ONE F*CKING TIME

more positions will be added today (YENvs.USD and commodity positions...likely oil depending on capac.util data and gold+other commodity movements. i may also take a moderately bearish position in US 10yrs)

eventually i'd like to get to >15 lowly correlated positions, then systematize them to run daily on their own with me just watching and adjusting.

i actually get paid to learn sh*t id learn for free. i <3 my job.

Barron

PS- since no post of mine is complete w/o statistical jargon i took the CNY position due to 2 factors: 1) balance of payments considerations obviously, and 2) the standard deviation appears to be a truncated normal distribution with the meat of it on the upside. even if it moves against me (north korea bombs chinese ports...continuously...for a month) it'll eventually move back.

CLIFF NOTES : I get paid well to do what i love and my job gave me an account to trade anything they do. I get to make trades on whatever i think will provide me with a solid risk-adjusted return. this is a brag post w/ mad variance. if the chinese move off of their central bank instituted peg, which they eventually will have to because their economy is heating up too much which will cause prices to rise internally and the whole point of the peg is to keep their goods cheap in the international trade market, then I MAKE A TON OF MANI!
