Default The Gibraltar Conspiracy

On Oct 2nd, the London Times broke the story that
888.com and PartyGaming would likely be pulling out of
the US market according to their "industry source".

Gambling911 also reports that PartyGaming would follow
888.com and pokerstars would also likely follow...

All 3 of these companies are in Gibraltor.

Reps from Gibraltor must have put the pressure on these
companies to pull-out...It is far too coincidental.

I believe pokerstars realizes what is going on, and
may possibly consider relocation.

Also as a side note, Pacific Poker is owned by
the same company that owns 888.com..The company
is called Cassava Ent. and of course they reside
in Gibraltor.

Nope from there site:

PokerStars is a registered legal business located in San José, Costa Rica. We abide by the laws and regulations where we do business.

Good one, except PokerStars is headquartered on the Isle of Man and many of its operations are located in Costa Rica.

I dont know why it has to be repeated 300 times a page. They have pulled out because they are public companies, traded on a stock exchange, with regulations that include complyng with laws of all countries that the companies have dealings in.

As far as being located in Gibraltar, there are corporate disclosure and accounting benefits to that situs even though it is a UK country.

Just on a side note, Mansion is also located in Gibraltar (which is why it was the first, and so far only, site I've cashed out of).
