Default Harrahs changes reporting rules!!!!!

Great news! Just found out that Harrah's has changed the reporting threshold for Poker from $600 to $5000. In addition, they deduct the buy-in from the withholding amount, so you must have a net win of $5000 or more to receive tax forms.

It went into effect today.

I was wondering why they didn't give me a W2G at Harrahs when I won. I just assumed they made a mistake and left before they figured it out. That is great news!

I don't think you have the entire picture on the changes, which go into effect in 2008. You use the term "poker". If you mean poker "tournaments", your information is incomplete.

Less paperwork for us (staff) to fill out in the poker room means more time catering to the needs of the customers with that premium customer service you've come to know and love at Harrah's Entertainment!
