Default would things have been different if..........

if this internet gambling bill would've made it all the way until the lame duck sessions and now that the democrats have control do you think this would've made a difference?

Assuming the Dems. win both houses, yes, I think it would have made a difference. The Democrats would probably be very eager to stop all but the most trivial legislation from passing since they can determine which legislation they want to bring to the table in the new Congress.

given the breadth of the election victory and (especially) the fact that the senate appears likely to go democratic but isn't going to be 100% certain for some time, yes. nothing even slightly controversial will happen now in the lame duck.
