AJKHoosier1 Stars $1100 Turbo $10,000 Challenge

He wanted me to crosspost from P5s (this is his challenge/post copied with minor changes):

I consider myself a firm believer in two things: putting my money where my mouth is, and degenerate gambling.

Therefore, I've decided to come up with an open bet to anyone who is willing to take it... the rules are as follows:

1) Players will play 50 $1050+50 1-table turbos on PokerStars over the course of February.

OR

Players will play 100 $1050+50 1-table turbos on PokerStars between 2/1 and 3/31

(whichever everyone seems to agree is best)

2) The winner is the player with the greatest Total Profit over these 50 (or 100) SnGs. This can be tracked through Sharkscope, PokerStars, etc. The winner receives the entire prize pool. ($10k * # of entries)

3) The money handling part... since I expect this contest to be filled with notable/trustworthy players, this shouldn't be an issue, but again, I would appreciate input from those interested. One idea is that everyone sends $5k to someone trusted (I am willing to do this) and then sends the other $5k at end of contest OR each person sends the entire $10k to someone trusted who will distribute it at the end. It is best if at least half of the total entry is sent to someone trusted. Suggestions for money handling are welcome to make sure it is fair/safe.

IF ANYONE HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS WHATSOEVER FOR ANY PART OF THIS CONTEST, THE INPUT IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.

If we can get at least five players, the contest should be considered a go. I will, however, cap the number of entries at 10.

i also promote the contest to be for more than 100 tournaments...anyone in this forum that plays 1k+ sngs will likely play more than 100 in a month.

10k seems like too little considering we'll be paying that much in rake, but whatever..I am curious as to the purpose of this bet since we will all be playing way more than this anyway, we'll know who makes the most money anyway...so i dont really see the point of the wager.

He says he'll put his money where his mouth is...is he implying that he is the best high stakes sng player and that he doesnt get credit for it or something....I dunno I'm just confused.

If we're just trying to figure out who the best is why dont we just see who makes the most money...but whatever if hoosier wants to bet 10 buy ins on a bet that will determine nothing i will take it bc its plus ev for me.

i think he meant that hes willing to bet on it, not that he thinks hes the best necessarily.

allow me to rephrase: im sure he believes he has an edge, but hes willing to gamble on it to confirm that....or he just has a gambling problem... this is speculation anyways, who knows [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

if he really wants to make a bet how about 100k for whoever makes the most money at 9 person sngs on stars over some period. like two months.
