Re: How is this an autocall?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Interesting.....What do we think his range was? I bet it was +EV after all when combined with metagame reasons, makes this a slam dunk call in my book. [/ QUOTE ] One thing about metagame considerations, if this guy knows what he is doing, he will keep doing the right thing, if you consider he probably knows who you are and that you will on the balance of probabilities, be doing what you should. So if this makes him tighter vs you, then it can only be on account of him pushing too loose in the first instance. Unless of course he sucks, then its open season. Mack [/ QUOTE ] If the right thing for him is to fold to me more often, I gain from this, even if he is playing more optimally. [/ QUOTE ] Do you REALLY think he changes his range dramatically in response to a "loose" call from you? |

Re: How is this an autocall?
He might change it a little bit. I mean if your range is to push 100% of the time always, and he keeps getting in spots where pushing 100% is clearly wrong against my calling range (a calling range which is also +EV for me), I should hope he'd change it.

Re: How is this an autocall?
i meant given the chip position of the bb. He will have 2900 chips if he loses, and he is getting 2:1... he will most likely win more then 1 in 3 times given this scenario

Re: How is this an autocall?
Jared,
Good post. Anything that gets everyone debating like this is good for this forum. You'll learn a lot by listening to all these guys. I know I have, of course I don't use ICM like these guys do. But maybe some day I'll look at things differently. |

Re: How is this an autocall?
In case DJA is serious,
It doesn't matter what he had that given hand. If he happened to have AA, calling with KK wouldn't be incorrect either. Just needs to win 45% against his range (which would mean pushing 70% or so which includes... 22+,A2s+,K2s+,Q2s+,J2s+,T2s+,93s+,84s+,74s+,63s+,5 3s+,43s,A2o+,K2o+,Q3o+,J5o+,T6o+,96o+,86o+,76o |

Re: How is this an autocall?
Equilibrium on this hand is pushing
54% = 22+,A2+,K2+,Q3o+,Q2s+,J7o+,J3s+,T8o+,T7s+,97s+ and calling with 43% = 22+,A2+,K2+,Q8o+,Q4s+,J9o+,J8s+,T8s+,98s |
