lilwayne seems to be tearing through the "younger" crowd much like 50 cent did a few years ago. I think he has some talent, but he's no where near the top of any list, and would outwardly appear to be just another fad.

yeah that's a bit of hyperbole. But 36 chambers is top 3 GOAT rap albums IMO. I also don't think you give RZA and Method Man enough credit. ODB obviously wasn't a superior lyricist or anything but was at least put out some good solo material. The bottom three are pretty good for being the bottom third of a nine person group.

Saying that Wu-Tang is greater than all but 1% of all the rappers who ever released something significant is not a stretch at all in my mind. As a group they released 2 undisputed classic CD's, and then individually arguing any less than 3 (Ironman, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, and Liquid Swords) is insane. Throw some others up there like Tical and Bobby Digital, among others, and Wu-Tang has a catalog unmatched by any one rapper or group ever. Even as bad as people say Ol' Dirty was, he had some classic singles and next to Meth had the most commercial appeal. I think it is a stretch to say that Wu-Tang is not greater than 99% of rappers.
