[/ QUOTE ] QFT Like when your multitabling and some jerk in MP min raises into your blind - you cant be bothered to defend it but it makes you look nitty. Or when some wannabe check raises everything "because they can". Then at showdown they show something stupid like middle pair. |

the rules allow these plays. its part of the game. the game would be more boring otherwise. not all players who make these plays are donks. a good player will have these plays in his bag of tricks.
if these plays upset someone, whether intended or not, they have served a purpose. |

Re: limpraisers, min-3bettors, check/minraisers, mindonkbettors, etc
I just played a $30 SnG on Pokerstars.
In my first BB, I get QTd. UTG limps for 20, button calls SB completes, I check. Flop is Ad 9c 8s. UTG bets 20, button calls, SB folds, I call with a gutshot and good backdoor flush draw. Js hits on the turn. I bet about half pot, UTG min-raises me, button folds. Now I have to decide how to go about my business here. I consider calling but if he has something like AsKs, he will now have a good draw and probably go all the way with it. I decide to play his game and double his min-raise. He comes back with another min-raise and of course I just move in and he calls. He turns over AA! Naw, I love these guys. Here is one interesting fact. Sometimes a min-raise or min-bet means they really have something. Against these guys, you can attempt to steal pots on the flop or the turn very cheaply and since that's how they operate, your min-bet scares the hell out of them. As well, some guys min-bet and raise as a direct indication of how strong their hand is. For almost all of these guys, these tactics either mean on thing or the other. It is a very rare dude who mixes it up. So figure out what their bets mean and you should be fine. |

I too hate being outplayed and going against opponents who are hard to play against.
