Default Equity Question

is there software that allows the user to select minimum starting values in evaluating equity? for instance, only the top 16 hands, top 27 hands, etc., would serve as the common pool to randomize against.

this would allow analysis on player types, game types, and so forth.

yes, pokerstove allows you to specify villain's holdings as the top X% of hands, although i'm not sure how they are ranked (HU equity, multiway equity, etc.)

tim: thanks for your reply. is there a help digest for pokerstove? i have the software, but i can't find the function that would allow me to select percentage values, and there is no help file,at least in the version i have, other than the "about" page.

i guess i could use the dead card palette, but that is awfully laborious, having to select cards for each equity.

you don't have to specify the hands one by one, just enter "80%" (no quotes) into the field for villains holdings and pokerstove knows what to do.
