Default Always get that perfect river

Played this hand last night. I'm at work and can't access hand history. Villain is "blackice1469" or something to that degree. I bluffed him at another table but didn't show. I don't think it was that big of a pot, though. He seems pretty decent and TAGish. Pokertracker has been freezing my computer and slowing PStars down so I don't have stats.

$200 effective stacks

I raise Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] under the gun, folds to him out of the BB and he repops it $27. I call.

Flop: 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

He leads $36, I call.

I really think his 3 bet range UTG is 99+,AQ,AK.

Turn: 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

He checks, I check. (Reasoning: I really think he goes for a check raise a lot with AA/KK here and If I bet I'd bet any amount that would commit me and would be drawing dead. Maybe I'm way off but checking here and not getting stack a donked by AA/KK is better than betting and charging the 6 outer if he has AK or the 3 outer if he has AQ).

River: K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

He leads for $74, I fold.

Man that would be ballsy as hell to bet JJ/AQ on that card, don't you think? If he bluffed me I need to move down to NL 25. What do you think of my line?

Sucks. Raise flop, bet turn, obv. Turn check, wtf? Why do you feel the need to overcomplicate this?? You set yourself up to a. get sucked out on or b. get bluffed off the best hand, just because he three bet? I dont like it at all.

You realize that if I check behind on the turn

A) I can snap off river bluffs with ace high

B) I don't get stack a donked by AA/KK..a line I think he would definitely take.

I'm not arguing...that's just my thinking, maybe I'm way off.

In fact my initial 99+,AK,AQ range might be too wide for him and it might be smaller.

The flop call is ok to induce more better on the turn, but that is with someone that doesnt know how to play 3bet pots. You got the perfect flop for you QQ you have to get it in.

If on the turn you are worried about AA/KK raise you, then bet and fold to a raise if you want to be that nitty. No reason to let him make a hand.

What about stacking JJ-99? You are losing a lot of times on the river to ak when the a or king pops off, and I dont think there is anyway that turning your hand into a bluff catcher outweighs the concequences of checking with queens, imo.

I honestly find you not raising this flop and getting it in on this turn seriously flawed.

I personally, now that I am thinking about it, don't think that he would reraise me with 99 UTG. Tens, I don't know, JJ..yes I think he would.

If my 3 bet range for him is JJ+,AK,AQ I am only getting it in good on the turn vs him with JJ, the rest I lose to or I fold out.

Maybe I haven't explained this guy enough but I think he's an uncreative nit, though I haven't played that many hands with him.

Okay this guy is pretty damn tight so let's see what happens if I raise the flop.

AA= I lose a $400 pot unimproved.

KK= I lose a $400 pot unimproved.

QQ= I chop.

JJ= I win a $400 pot unless I get 2 outered.

AK= He folds, I collect the pot.

AQs= He folds, I collect the pot, though I can't say with certainity that he 3 bets this hand preflop.

Tens= I don't know if he A) 3 bets this preflop B) calls a shove.

So your trying to snap off an uncreative NIT on the river??
Looks to me like you are playing scared.
