What are we supposed to fess up to?

...Out with graphite, in with standard steel. All of a sudden I'm hitting it straight and ridiculously far, like within 20 yards of my driver and a lot more accurate. Gonna stick with it for awhile and hope the honeymoon doesn't wear off.

I'm actually having a hard time hitting mine, and I'm not sure why. I hit my irons with a slight draw, but I tend to push the hybrid. And I can't hit it off the tee worth a damn.

Did you get it fitted - might not be the right shaft for you.

I just bought a TM Rescue 19deg. - I tried reg steel, reg and stiff graphite shafts.
I was surprised that the reg. graphite went longer and straighter (and felt better)

Yeah, those 16* rescues are unreal. I can hit one of those farther than anything except a driver.

[/ QUOTE ]

Are the 16 deg hybrids that superior to the 5 wood? I guess the hybrid gets higher, but is it that much easier to hit than a 5W?

I personally go driver, 3W, 19 hybrid, 22 hybrid and then carry 4 wedges, but I'm debating dropping the LW and putting in a 5W or 16 hybrid.

I don't think they're that superior. The hybrid will be shorter (club length, not distance) so it should be easier to control. Just gotta try a few and see what you like.

If you hate it, sell it.
Worth well under $100 now, so better yet give it(or lend it) to a cousin, nephew, friend who can use it.

Try a different club (Callaway X at twice the price is a 10)

i will never own a 3 or 5 wood again.

not having a hybrid or two in the bag is leaving strokes on the course.

TaylorMade Hybrids 2,3,4,5 the day they went on sale at GolfSmith after the new model came out ~2 years ago. (dropped from $129/$139 to $99)

Worth every penny.

I don't hate it, in fact, I started off hitting it really well. It's a swing problem, not a club problem.
