Name one developed nation that did not use massive state intervention to achieve development.

Censored: These debate threads will be useless without polls asking people who won.

Also, format? 1212?

I think polls would mostly just reflect which side people agreed with regardless of whether they were convinced by either arguments.

How about before and after questions?

Before the debate I was "pro"/"con"/"undecided"
After the debate I am "pro"/"con"/"undecided"

There are plenty of people who don't post on this board that read it. I know it seems popular on this board, but 95 percent of people would not want to live in an AC world if it was explained to them. They will be crushed.

Ok, I worded that retardedly. I don't think many people are going to be convinced by the debates here and will vote the side they agree with, before and after. I think it might wind up where one guy is convinced by you and two are convinced by the other. But whatever. Nothing stopping people from having polls in the comment thread.

I would like to paticipate but have no ability to just hop online anytime. My job is just too demanding for such things to be possible, but with the proper format possibly something like this could happen. I'd like to argue the something about the interplay of economic and political systems, but it really isn't a big deal, debate is fun.

i dont think it'd be appropriate to start the debate in this thread but would be happy to address your challenges in a specified debate or other thread.
