You slowed down on the turn, so he probably tested you with a jack. Why didn't you bet the turn normally, like 7 or so?

I like betting 7-8 on turn. Otherwise I like the way you played it. I think this is an excellent value bet btw.

As played, you are calling a river shove, right? If not, river is meh. Next time I would edit out that he just called on the river. Villain calls river and everyone is like, "Oh, nice value man." If villain shoves river some of those same people might say, "River bet sucks man." |

i think you have the right idea on the turn. I'd bet a bit more (like 5.5-6) just to get a bit more value from draws. River valuebet is standard, except make it like ten.
