Loved the show in college, it was mandatory daily viewing with my roommates. Hate what it turned into. Kids funny, Homer funny in smaller doeses. Sitcoms featuring oafish Dads blow.

[/ QUOTE ] yeah I think there are lots of people like you, me, and Al. sometime around 2002 I stopped watching (mostly b/c I was in grad school and Sundays were super busy and I didnt have dvr yet). after that I never got back into it, and have only seen a handful of post-2002 episodes. pre-2002 episodes I know mostly by heart. weird.

I agree the show is now borderline unwatchable, but great pains were taken not to screw this movie up. Read the Wiki; it'll put your mind at ease.
Personally, I'm seeing it on Friday with some old friends from college. Think Spicoli's van from Fast Times.
