I agree with this sentiment, but I do think that there are better investments, i.e. oil companies than ethanol. Why invest in something that could unravel with new regulations when oil companies experience identical or greater profits from the appreciation of prices.

Jesus, biofuels only exist b/c the US maintains huge subsidies along with huge tariffs on foreign sugarcane and Brazilian ethanol. Biofuels are a joke of an alternative fuel source. They are majorly negative net energy when you look at all the resources necessary to create them and actually pollute more than oil.
