Meh, I'm with you on this one. Unless there's some sort of resale value I'm not seeing, the whole bottle-preservation-and-sneaking process seems like more trouble than it's worth. Seems to be a pretty clear sunk-cost situation.

I thought that you once you bought the bottle, you owned the bottle, and you don't have to "smuggle" it out, just cap it and take it out. Maybe that's just at restaurants with wine bottles, though.

im pretty sure i would have had to smuggle it out. if i believed it was a restaurant wine bottle type of situation i would have gladly taken it with me.
