Raise to $2.25. People at this level love to slowplay in raised pots and I doubt he has you beat here unless it's exactly 99/TT.

Raising is bad, you'll get called with a ton of hands and have no idea where you're at, bloating the pot and letting villain play perfectly.

Normally here my strat is to call that, check behind on turn, let him fire off a bluff on river.

I like where you are going with this, lets expound upon the idea of why raising a flop like this with an overpair is bad.

You want him to keep betting his 6 or whatever.

If I had TT+ I'd be less worried about overcards and would be more inclined to fire a bet on the turn or river. Wiht a moderate overpair and a dry board, any big pot I get into I'm definitely dead to two cards, so I'll settle for a small / middle pot and let him outplay himself. I'm playing pretty much every overpair like this, though, depending on villain obv.

I think villain leading into us on the turn for a psb should narrow down his range a little, let's put him on a hand range and see what kind of equity we have in the hand and what hero should do here???

We're never folding here, so the best thing to do is figure out what the best thing to do for the turn and maybe river is. Raise him off his hand now and represent the ace, orj ust call?

I simply call because people take their bluffs too far at this level or simply overvalue their hand. He may have actually hit the ace, too, so raising is a double-edged sword of not getting enough value and maybe running into a wall.

My gut tells me we're beat.
At this level stakes when someone bets pot into the preflop raiser, then the big overcard comes and they bet pot again, then invariably one pair is no good.
What's he repping? Why didn't the ace slow him down?
I'm folding here, expecting 45, set or some 2 pair hand but I'm a nit
