I somehow fubarred my DVR and only recorded the middle (from 8:15 to 8:45). So I haven't seen the beginning or the end. I thought about killing myself, but that seemed a little excessive.

Thank god for the innernets.

haha - my guess is this pleases the poster with that avatar.

Gonna agree with skunk and KBZ - pretty weak. Premieres are tricky especially for a serial like The Office, imo, where certain plot points need to be worked in and established (and fwiw, the writers / actors etc. are fairly "rusty" after a long hiatus...) - but this was just a very weak A storyline - dragged, couldn't fill the hour. That the episode wasn't that funny either didn't help.

I thought the initial handling of the Jim-Pam storyline was fantastic but then it devolved into, well, they're dating. Boring.

Love what they did with Jan. That actress is incredibly talented, I don't think alot of people could pull off, believably, the Jan character.

Nath - haha I was also thinking the same thing regarding the Creed hospital scene. That should have been waaaaayyyyy funnier, missed opp imo.

Definitely agree with nath/al on the creed line. Seemed way too forced. However, "I'm 82"/"Is any of this real?" was incredible.

hahaahahah yeah, that was actually one of the few lol moments for me. Creed really might be one of the best characters on a sitcom ever.

The supporting characters on this show are so awesome across the board. I would really like to see Stanley get really fired up about something and get really over the top about it, it would be LOLZ given his complete disinterest in everything else. They did this a little bit with "pretzel day," but I'm talking about a whole show where Stanley was completely fixated on something and put the whole office on tilt because of it.

I did like how Stanley was reading the magazine yesterday during the meeting...that seemed to be a new level of blatent disinterest

They did it a little bit in "Beach Games", and you're right, it was hilarious.

This episode wasn't that great. Every character on the show seemed way too exaggerated and unbelievable. And watching Jim and Pam is reminding me of why I hated Friends. I hope this isn't an indication of what's to come.
