OK, so I'm trying to get the hang of stud, and I've got hold'em, stud8, razz, and maybe omaha8 down (not down, but good enough to where I can make consistent money at low stakes cash games.) but i just cant get the hang of stud hi. i read supersystem today, the stud part, and i felt like trying a HORSE sng. now, by question is, even seeing a small number of hearts throughout the hand should i have still went for a flush? my thinking was that my flush cards were very live, and that had i hit my flush, i would take a huge pot in this situation a high percentage of the time. is my thinking flawed? should i have changed my hand values for 3 to a flush?

I think you should fold 3rd the first time around and definitely the 2nd. Specially tournament but ring too. I know it's tempting but your hearts are not live at 3rd. The J as overcard, though looking strong with folded K and 3 As, is not strong enough and the Ts look dead.

I think 4th is again a fold. It looks like the early raisers bricked but everybody seems to be ahead of you. Also, way too expensive in terms of your stack.

I'd also bet 5th.

On 6th, the T's re-raise would scare me a little but his going all-in mitigates this.
