NL10 TPGK on raised flop
Less than 5 hands on the villain. Normally I wouldn't play KQs into a raise, but I figured give it a try.
Having flopped top pair, what's my play against villain's minraise? Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.05/$0.10 Blinds - 10 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter) SB: $9.80 BB: $12.22 UTG: $9.70 UTG+1: $13.18 UTG+2: $8.47 MP1: $7.99 MP2: $10.00 Hero (MP3): $10.71 CO: $10.00 BTN: $7.68 Preflop: Hero is dealt K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (10 Players) 3 folds, MP1 calls $0.10, MP2 folds, Hero calls $0.10, <font color="red">CO raises to $0.60</font>, 3 folds, MP1 calls $0.50, Hero calls $0.50 Flop: ($1.95) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 Players) MP1 checks, <font color="red">Hero bets $1.30</font>, <font color="red">CO raises to $2.60</font>, MP1 folds, Hero? |

Re: NL10 TPGK on raised flop
Fold flop, you don't want to call to play the turn c/f ui

Re: NL10 TPGK on raised flop
Doesn't he have a flush draw here quite often? I felt he could well have AK spades

You asked where you stand and CO answered. Yes, villain my have a FD, but that's still dangeours. All his/r FD are also SD, and TP?K+FD is possible too. Thus, you are ahead-but-vulnerable or behind-but-drawing-thin. What range of hands do you put villain on? To me, draws do not constitute enough of it. |

Re: NL10 TPGK on raised flop
Thanks guys, actually I folded in the end.
I felt his hand range was QQ, TT, AQ, a chop, AKs, some other flush draw, AKo and AJ. That's a pretty wide range, with me somewhere in the middle of it, hence I felt a bit weak folding. Re Teddies post, I would certainly have folded to the pfr had it not already been multiway, but I agree it's a bit iffy. |
